Native from the subtropical regions of East Asia, this species has a very limited distribution.

The species can be found in forest or on isolated trees. It is likely active the whole day. Very little is known about the ecology of this species due to its strictly arboreal lifestyle.
Identification.
The species can be recognized by its size (2–4 mm), which is comparatively smaller than other species of the same genus.
