Distribution.
Currently only known from Hong Kong, this morphospecies might be a species new to science and has not yet been formally described.
Biology & Ecology.
This species is common in Hong Kong, and has been found nesting within the soil and foraging in leaf litter. This species can be found in forest. Like other species from the genus, workers are likely general scavengers.
Identification.
The species can be recognized by its size (1.3–1.4 mm), golden coloration, and smooth and shining head and body.
