Distribution.
Native from the subtropical regions of East Asia, this species has a limited distribution.
Biology & Ecology.
In Hong Kong, this is a rare species and can be found in forest. Workers might be specialized hunters of polyxenid millipedes. They are found foraging within the soil and leaf litter.
Little is known of its biology, except that this species has alate (winged) queens.
Identification.
The species can be recognized by the shape of the process beneath its waist segment.
