The species likely nests within the soil and under rocks. This species is common in Hong Kong, and can be found in forest, open habitats and disturbed habitats.
The species likely has the lifestyle of thief ants, which are mostly subterranean or active within leaf litter, and either forage or steal food or brood from other larger ant colonies.
Identification.
The species can be recognized by its size (1.4–1.6 mm) and yellow coloration.
