Distribution.
Currently only known from Hong Kong, this morphospecies might be a species new to science and has not yet been formally described.
Biology & Ecology.
This species is uncommon in Hong Kong, and is known to nest within the soil.
The species likely has the lifestyle of thief ants, which are mostly subterranean or active within leaf litter, and either forage or steal food or brood from other larger ant colonies.
Identification.
The species can be recognized by its size (1.7–1.9 mm) and yellow coloration.
