Biology & Ecology.
This species is arboreal, and has been found nesting and foraging on trees. It can be found in forest, along forest edge and on isolated trees. It is often found nesting within small dead branches. Colonies appear to be polygynous (more than one egg-laying queen per colony). Like other species from the genus, workers are likely general scavengers.
Identification.
This species can be recognized by its small size (1.4–1.6 mm), the absence of waist segment and its yellow coloration.
